Marratech Video Virtual Office Goes Free

Hello Robin,
when we met in Rome, I remember that you mentioned that a free version of Marratech might be something really important to create awareness and increased usage of Marratech’s collaboration tool.

I brought the idea with me back to Sweden, and as you know we discussed such a product very detailed internally.

In order to keep you updated and well informed about our initiatives in Marratech, I write to you about our latest initiative.

Marratech-Free.

Robin, here below you will find the brochure describing the product and the press release going out tomorrow morning (June 28th 2005).

Lately, we have also spent several months talking to industry analysts and opinion formers concerning how best to leverage business growth from the expanding market in web collaboration solutions.

Our research has revealed a need to bring web collaboration to the general computer user and grow it alongside chat and messaging services which have become part of everyday life for both business users and the general public.

Above mentioned feedback was exactly what you mentioned to us also in the discussions we have had with you lately.

To take online meetings forward and grow usage, we must increase awareness of web collaboration as next major growth area following messaging/video services and VOIP.

We must bring web collaboration to the general computer user.

Our research has convinced us that Marratech must take a global lead bringing web collaboration to the masses, so tomorrow, we are launching a freeware version of our server software called 'Marratech-Free'.

We expect the number Marratech-Free users to grow very rapidly, significantly increasing awareness and creating a fast growing market for the online collaboration business.

Marratech-Free will have similar 'look and feel' to Marratech but will have limited
capabilities. It will be restricted to just five users and it will not be secure. There will be no application sharing and the other drop down menu and icon options will be greyed-out.

On the other hand users of the free version will have the benefit of the Marratech virtual office experience.

Marratech-Free is aimed at students, computer enthusiasts and individuals working from home who could never aspire to a Marratech license.

When we consider the explosive growth of free solutions such as Skype and the popular instant messaging systems, we are confident Marratech-Free will create a new level of web collaboration, or, as we say on the product web site: 'Cut the chat for a real meeting experience - Advanced video conferencing for the thinking computer user'.

For more information, see the attached product brochure or go to www.marratechfree.com.

Kind regards and enjoy the summer.

Best regards

Henrik Fabricious
