Last Thursday, June 10th, I reviewed seven different screen-sharing technologies that I had selected as being the most representative options for showing your computer screen remotely on the Internet. The companies/products showcased were: Glance, GoToMeeting, Linktivity WebDemo, eBLVD, Netviewer, Seemyscreen and RealVNC.

Though given the time and the state of presentation technologies I can only do so much in about 45 minutes, my presentation/report is a valuable summary review of each tool strengths and wekanesses from a buyer's standpoint.

Yes, there would be a lot more to say about these technologies, and there are many aspects that would be important to touch upon, but then again, my compromise is one of providing as broad a selection as I can offer while giving also some valuable mini-insight into each one of the technologies showcased.

Among the seven technologies showcased at least four (Linktivity, GoToMeeting, Glance and eBLVD) were very cost-effective and offered a lot to the buyer.

In Summary

For ease of use, there is nothing better than Glance, with GoToMeeting a close second and being slightly more difficult ot learn only because it offers a few extra powerful features (remote control, multiple presenters, text chat, invitation management).

For extra features and the ability to talk online while showing your screen Linktivity and eBLVD topped all other solutions as both integrate VoIP, text chat, recording, file transfer, annotation tools, security, event management and more.
