As I remain extremely impressed by the set of improvements and additions to the new beta release of Groove v3, on which I will be reporting in the coming days, today, I was finally struck by the perfect cosmic configuration and had a fascinating one-on-one interview with Ray Ozzie.
Our exchange covered topics that ranged from interoperability issue with other instant messengers to RSS and social networking. Of course the focus of our conversation was very much centered around Groove release of v3 (beta), and of some of its key strenghts and peculiarities.
This was a full VoIP interview and I must tell you that the quality of the exchange as we were having it was absolutely outstanding. We had not one drop, jitter or other technical inconvenience that limited our capability to exchange and to communicate complex ideas. (I have had to compress a bit the recording to get a reasonable file size for most people to access, so you will not be hearing in full the quality we had).
Ray covered lots of grounds in this more than informal interview that lasted just around 53 minutes.
It will be available tomorrow as both an .MP3 and a .WMA downloadable file.
If you are interested in learning more about Groove, its strategy, strengths its main man behind the buzz (and which VoIP technology we used to do this),stay tuned.
