IMConferencing is a new slick Web conferencing tool from Live Office.

Integrating all of the typical conferencing solutions, along with a unique capability to bring together event participants through direct calls to their telephone/mobile phones, IMConferencing is a modern-day collaboration tool centered around a robust propietary instant messaging core.

IMConferencing understands the importance of centering conferencing tools around a strong IM engine. All of the additional facilities can be fired up as needed and do not add up to create an invasive, screen-full feature-rich interface. All I need is there ONLY when I need it.

IMConferencing has a smooth, well designed interface that is easy to use, simple and intuitive.

In its first public release IMConferencing seamlessly integrates the following facilities:

b) Screen sharing - Application sharing

c) Web touring, co-browsing

d) File sharing

e) PowerPoint presentation delivery

f) Full featured text chat

g) Instant messaging and presence awareness engine

h) Telephone bridge (US only) to landlines and mobile phones

i) Recording facilities allowing for full event archival including:
voice conversations, MS PowerPoint presentations and co-browsing, IM text transcripts, files distributed during meetings, co-browsing/screen sharing sessions, and more.

l) Event management and scheduling facilities allowing for full event setup, registration of participants and invitation management.

m) Custom branding with logo display and customized URL.

Pricing shows a marked enterprise, mid-to-large company approach and no immediate interest for the fast awakening SOHO market. The steep $ 500 setup fee and $ 50/month /per seat pricing model make IMConferencing an effective proposition only for mid-to-large sized companies, at least for now.

On all other counts IMConferencing shows to be a truly interesting tool, nonetheless its young age and a few rough edges still to be smoothed out.
