SightSpeed has announced today the availability of the Mac version of its breakthrough videoconferencing technology.
I have been waiting for this announcement for some time and I am extremely happy to see SightSpeed deliver in time on its own promises. I will be soon testing the new Mac version while reporting about its strengths and weaknesses.
For now I am only concerned with the new version 2 on PC, which while bringing a good number of improvements both on the technical and user-interface side, fails to work with my very basic standard setup.
I recommend SightSpeed software-based videoconferencing solution to anyone wanting a one-click tool that is easy to use and that performs like the man on the street would expect. No delay, no latency, lip-sync and a complete full duplex conversation. All of that if you your bandwidth allows it (read have a good ADSL line at minimum) while SightSpeed delivers on this and more, providing good presence awareness, one-click calling, text chat and a phenomenal video integration feature allowing to integrate your SightSpeed-based videoconferencing solution in any Web page (tell your partner or customer to go to that page and there you are appearing in full color with video and audio, and ready to see them and talk back).
