Open Standards Supporting Web Conferencing And Live Collaboration Tool

Neos is a very interesting communication and collaboration tool that integrates open standards and best facilities to present, videoconference, text message and collaborate on documents at a distance.

Built upon a strong instant messaging foundation and sporting a sleek, clean and easy to use interface, Neos appears to integrate many of the important features and characteristics that the great collaboration apps of the near future will be using. Open standards, interoperability, collaboration and presentation facilities, VoIP, video.

Neos uses the H.323 protocol for real time audio and video communications. This protocol is widely documented and used by most of the existing products in the market. As a consequence of this Neos is among the few real-time collaboration software-based products capable of making sessions with other videoconferencing products.

Other key features include:

Contact List and Instant Messaging
Users can know who’s on line at any time and chat individually or in groups.

Interoperability with other IM networks
Neos interacts with most IM networks including: ICQ, MS Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Jabber. Neos uses the Jabber protocol. This network offers a wide range of advantages over other already existing proprietary networks.

VoIP
The user can talk with any person in the world only with the microphone and speakers of the computer.

Interoperability with other tools
Neos allows the interaction with other products, like the now defunct Microsoft NetMeeting and GnomeMeeting for UNIX, as well as asymmetric communications models.

Whiteboarding
Neos integrates also a digital whiteboard that can be utilized to write and draw diagrams and also to transfer images or screenshots from other applications. The whiteboard can be used concurrently by multiple users.

Remote view of any application
Neos finally allows remote visualization of any application (such as Word documents, Excel files or PowerPoint presentations). The remote user sees the application as if it was running locally.

Full application sharing
Two users in different computers can work and operate on the same program (like a Excel spreadsheet or a Word document), which runs in the machine of one of them, simultaneously.

File Transfer
Users can send and get photographs, documents, applications and any file through a very simple interface, without the size limitations that most email program have.

Supports multiple profiles for the same person
As user you may have more than one profile or identity that you may switch or alternate according to events and audience.

Multiple languages support
Available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese
