Groupboard is a set of multi-user Java applets including whiteboard, chat, message board and games which you can place on your Web page by simply copying a few lines of html code.
Available since 1997, but known only by a few, this technology allows presenters and online facilitators utilizing low-cost co-browsing and Web touring tools to easily add a powerful live annotation solution that can be used both by the presenter as well as by any of the participants.
Groupboard integrates a simple chat facility and
a basic set of live annotation tools. While the interface is a bit old-fashioned in its look and ease of use, the performance is absolutely outstanding and annotated documents or Web pages can be easily saved to a local file.
Groupboard is very reliable, stable and claims to be 100% bug free.
The Groupboard can be used in a hosted fashion or it can also be run on your own Web server.
