New Cross Platform Video Conferencing Client

Wave Three Software has now released the new 3.0 version of its Session client software. A free demonstration version is now available at the W3S website.

W3S’s Session Communication Software brings together audio, video, text messaging, and presence in a simple to use desktop client. This application is targeted to the cross platform desktop communication user who may also want to interoperate with other standard SIP user agents such as Cisco, Avaya, and SNOM SIP phones or even Microsoft XP Messenger.

When deployed with a SIP registry server, the Session client can be called by using a SIP address (like a URL). The user does not have to know his or her IP address.

The Session Communication Software solution is ideal for both large and small groups. User communities that are looking for high quality audio, video, instant messaging, and application/media sharing desktop capabilities on both an ad hoc point to point basis and scheduled multipoint basis will find this software meets their needs.
